Meafou stays, on a four year deal.

After recent upheavals, this will be seen as a big win for club president Didier Lacroix, who worked hard on this one. Despite not matching the Stade Francais money, the club's project and domestic stability have won the day for Toulouse.

There was also the not insignificant matter of a tax break which Meafou benefits from as a naturalised Frenchman, which he would have lost by changing employer. No doubt this helped the negotiations for president Lacroix.

Meafou starts on the bench for the trip to Vannes, or Rennes, with Flament and Brennan starting in the second row.
