Vannes throw everything at Toulouse in bruising opening twenty minutes.
What a compelling contest this was. Vannes started at the sort of lick which made you wonder what had gone on in the dressing room pre-match. Usually, after ten minutes or so, once all the huffing and puffing is done, the momentum dies and normal service is resumed. Not last night.
13-0 ahead after twenty-one minutes, and good value for it, Vannes somehow went in at half-time down 16-17, yet at no point had they eased off. A classic Toulousain try from their own twenty two metre line, involving the excellent Chocobares and the ever dangerous Gourgues put Graou under the posts seventy five metres away.
